Herb, I am a past user who laments Apples fall from Grace. I founded two of Canadas largest Apple dealerships(Arkon(now gone) and Computer Systems Center), only one of which survived the decline in Apples' sales. I would like to see someone do good for APple. I am not happey to see Jobs work to date. A bubble of ebullience and some cost cutting and ledger shifting do not make Apple a sucess. In fact I think it will come out later on the Jobs was stretching the generally accepted rules of accountancy and there just might be a lawsuit in it(this is raw speculation based om suspicion, and Jobs past actions)

The weight given to peoples opinions is not related to the value of their opinions. As they say politics. In the USA you have the best money the government can buy, or is it the other way around.
So politically Jobs has power. He can easily be quite wrong. Look at Hitler, lots of charm(if you like Wagnerian sturm and drang, yuck, but the Germans bought it), as wrong as they get. Of course Hitler was fully evil. Jobs is merely inept, but rich.

So think twice before you run with Jobs pack.

Bill
