President Trump demanded the Euros pay their fair share of NATO funding, or else. He was successful.
No he wasn't. Trump twists the truth to exaggerate his influence over NATO allies.

NATO countries were indeed tasked with increasing their spending, but that agreement was made in 2014 and the committed target was 2024:

Thanks to PooTin's war of choice, NATO countries are now motivated to increase their spending and focus more on keeping the alliance stronger than ever.

That wasn't Trump's doing, unless somehow you believe Trump was playing "4D chess" and used PooTin to motivate the strengthening of NATO.
