YES FDR was racist...it was the norm for the time. Even Johnson referred to them as niggers while still pushing the civil rights legislation. He knew it was time to change.

FDR s wife Maime ? pushed FDR to integrate the armed forces....toward the end he relented...not integrate but allow them to fight.
