Who's drinking the Kool-Aid? Eric is even more of a "climate crisis" nut case than Ratty, if that's possible. He's a stereotypical wealthy, Seattle area, liberal greenie who's out to save the planet from the ignorant right wing peasants who want to keep their ICE cars and gas stoves. Picture him pulling up his skinny jeans, tightening up his man bun, slipping on his Birkenstocks and grabbing a bag of granola as he sets sail to his weekend getaway property out on the San Juans. :-)
