Fortunately, these stopped the destruction of lakes, rivers and crops and cut mercury pollution. Re. the ozone layer, fortunately an international treaty on reduction of ozone destroying CFC's halted and is reversing the ozone layer destruction. Who said the ice caps would be gone in 10 years?
