I remember very well my dad telling me for the first time when I was about five years old "beliefs can be very dangerous."

Not too many years later I totally understood what he meant by that statement.

He retired as the Chief Scientist of the Boeing Company in 1976. He had worked on the dark side (defence) since he was hired out of Harvard with a masters in 1948. As a very young Lt. Jg. took care of all the radar on BB-63 as an original plank owner.

He didn't put up with any BS.
