I think it would be the ultimate psychological carrot offered to the Enterprise (UNIX and Mainframe) community from Microsoft (to buy a UNIX product). And don't think they cannot adapt it!

What is Motif?

Anybody?

It is the GUI wrapped around UNIX, Developed from the X standard 6 years ago.

What would it take to wrap Microsoft's GUI around licenced version of UNIX?

It's probably already been done internally by MSFT.

Imagine a version of NT that can run certain UNIX programs as well as DOS, WIN 3.1, 95 and Current NT.

The GUI is just a wrapper. And IFMX is compatable with both the NT and UNIX engines at this very moment.

I hope IFMX can stand on its own. But, a buyout is very much a possibility. Just offering MHO,

Cheers!
Ed.
