Ed, the size of the pie is definately not fixed. 85% of the people in this world do not own a PC. It will be a long time before they do, that is why when CPQ began offering low-end PCs they actually increased the size of the pie by opening the PC phenomenon to people who normally would not buy one.

Truth is though, I agree with you about Dell. They are living on borrowed time now. When CPQ gets into the direct sale market by acquiring Gateway or a company like it, Dell stock will finally settle down. However, Dell has another 3 years at least of excellent growth. A good safer bet is CPQ. Dell is just overpriced (like AOL).
