The law never stops being the law just because YOU think no one got hurt.
If I went above the speed limit and the cops caught me, can I tell the cops, "But officer, no one was hurt!"?

If I owned a business and I wasn't in compliance with the ADA, can I tell the regulators, "But sir, no one was hurt"?
Of course not.
If I hired a hooker and got caught, can I tell the judge, "But sir, no one got hurt! It was just two people consenting to services for money!"?
Of course not.
And if I was in possession of classified documents that I tried to hide from the government, can I tell the judge, "But Your Honor, no one got hurt! I didn't reveal any classified info to anyone, and those to whom I did reveal classified info don't matter anyway!"?
