Actually, we only have one child, and he is now older than us. What a child he is, too. Obeys 99% of the time, is happy to eat the same thing every day (Purina Dog Chow), and always has a smile on his face when we come home.
My wife got Bear at our local animal shelter. He is a G. Shepherd/Husky and what a wonderful companion he has been the 7 or so years he has been with us. We were the third people to give him shelter, and dog gone it; the last.
People are periodically telling me when we go for walks what a beautiful dog he is. "Thank you", I say to them, "its amazing what you can find at your local animal shelter isn't it?"
Always loved that old joke about the wife who complains to the husband that he spends more time with the dog. Finally, one day she gives her husband an ultimatum, either her or the dog. The guy looks at the dog and says, "I'm sure gonna miss her."
