Heck, it's a lot cheaper to push your vehicle with electrons.
Like I said, tell that to the residents of New Delhi, especially those who lack even basic infrastructure needs like water, garbage collection, and even electricity.

Think New Delhi can modernize on renewable energy? By all means, fly over there, talk to the civil engineers, and let them know of your magical plan to bring India into First World status using renewables.
