You can use your regression channel the way I use my red/green lines. Sell at the top on weakness and buy at the bottom on strength, following the main trend in between.

But I would not do it with any of these picks unless you are really quick to spot the change - which you don't want to do. Any of these can have a 50+% move on dime. If you are short, you will get squeezed and kick yourself when it comes back down. And every so often they don't come down.

Your safest bet is do something like long TQQQ - short SRTY. But you need to assess the risk profile and be very much in tune with what is going on. There are times that small caps outperform.

No comments on QRTEP, except that I got out when I saw QRTEA weakening. That is your risk proxy.
