Above all else, Kurlak, very cunningly, understands there is no coherent methodology for stock valuations. Metrics alone cannot account for the vagaries of investor logic. Instead he applies more psychology than knowledge to move the stock in the direction he indicates.
Now you have Jim Cramer jumping on Kurlak's bandwagon perhaps opportunistically hoping to reinforce each other's ability to influence the market.
But without any doubt, hopefully sooner rather than later (just when Tom and Jim start believing they really have special skills), their luck will run out, and we will be looking back at Tom and Jim in the same way we are now looking at Joe Granville and Elaine Gazarelli.
And, just as surely, there will be others to replace Tom, Jim, Joe, and Elaine. The only one that really gets it right is PT Barnum.
