Bob, ZE's springtime receiver offering has a list of $5,995 if my memory serves me correct. Anyway, I love my new toys.

On a side note, I have noticed a disturbing amount of bullshit being spouted by employees of various CE chains. Whenever I am in one, I always ask about HDTV. Today, Chuck at the Cherry Hill, NJ Circuit City told me that the first digital sets will not be "HDTV" and will cost $10,000. I told him wrongo, that the first $7-10,000 sets will be here in the fall supporting 1080I. He argued with me and told me that the HDTV's will be here in a couple of years at a price tag of $16-18,000! What a moron. He wouldn't believe me even after I told him that I was at CES and am in possession of the ZE price list. When I told him about the $6,000 HDTV receiver from ZE for MAY release, he said it wasn't for HDTV, it is a convertor (for $6M?).

Another store, CT's in Voorhees, told me that the broadcasters start giving back the analog spectrum in 2012 and the digital changeover is slated for 2030. I asked what happens in 2006 and he said nothing the beginning of digital is in 2012. This guy, btw, professed to be knowledgeable regarding DTV and HDTV.

Enough for now,

Scott
