T, Way way back in 1988 I was an engineering beta tester for this. The very first handheld GPS reciever in the world. The Magellen NAV 1000. retro-gps.info $3000.00 Waterproof, floats and runs on 6 AA cells. Took eight minutes to lock up after gathering ephemeris data from GPS sats after a cold start. We have come a long, long ways! Eric I have three of them and they all still work.
