But probably by way of the false premise of your comment being dumped as a bad idea.
The false premise = once upon a time, and still, people and pieces of paper used words "People's Republic" "Republic of" but those words are not worth the paper they are or were written on. There's no reason those false premises need to be accepted in 2024. They could be deleted next week or tomorrow.
The present comes from the future, not the past. For some reason, I don't feel bound by what my ancestors thought, wrote what i should think, or said what I should think. Heck, I don't even accept what i used to think, wrote what I thought back then, or even think right now. I imagine how things can be and if I think it's a good idea, I set about turning it into reality. Some things I leave on the back burner as not being ripe for action, or they remain a puzzle, or I'm otherwise occupied. It might be that some people in the people's republics of long ago have the same kind of thinking and are not so keen on bringing back Mao, Megalomania, and Murder.
I change my mind, right now if needs be and I get a better idea.
I know Made in China people lack my amazing brain power, perspicacity and Virtuous Victorian Values, so they are more like chimps and are unable to create a better reality. They are stuck on murderous megalomania. They shouldn't feel bad about it though because they are in good company. Look at the crazed Yanks, Fourth Reich Germans, Disunited United Kingdom, Aotearoa-Zimbabwe that is having a lot of fun right now negotiating to see if a government can be formed from the fragmented election results. All the political parties in Aotearoa-Zimbabwe were keen on war on Russia = chimpoid megalomaniac MAD thinking. I wrote a long email to my man [David Seymour] explaining why Act should NOT join the madness. But he simplistically said Russia shouldn't have invaded Ukraine so we need the war to end wars and to conquer Russia.
Maybe Made in China people will choose to do something along the lines of Gaza, or adopt conquest principles as in Ukraine, Luhansk, Donetsk, Crimea, Kosovo, Catalan = lose lose lose ideas.
Heck, they turned on a dime with Deng decades ago and let 1000 flowers bloom with black and white cats released or something along those lines [I only saw translations]. The result was a great swathe of Virtuous Victorian Values and China now looking good - comparatively.
I recommend a Brexit referendum in Taiwan. Shall we become a province of China, continue with our Conquer China constitution, or go Singapore Style? The two that get the most votes could have a run-off to see which 70% prefer.
Simple really. No need for atomic bombs, aircraft carrier fleets, submarines, or rockets from trucks.
Or, they could choose the end of the world which would mainly include China.
After the smoke clears, Amazonians, Outback Australians, and Mongolians could repopulate China and a lot more besides.
I guess that Singapore is happy to have dealings with China and that China is their main supplier of things.
