There were supply chain disruptions thanks to FatRump's trade wars that caused an imbalance of supply/demand (i.e. inflation). The Fed for a long period had a policy of quantitative easing, which caused the money supply to spike during FatRump's reign. Covid 19 had prices falling due to remote work and less travel. Once the pandemic waned, demand surged, money was cheap - bingo inflation. FatRump is mostly to blame for all of this.
