Wade, also check out the MIC section on the NACE site. HERC includes MIC control in their system process. The polysulfate stuff is the WWII technology I referred to a few posts back, so is the weak acid technology. In the water treatment world all I have seen to date is a rehash of old methodology and minor chemistry updates.....nothing that excites me to any degree.

I am not trying to take an advocate position here, just simply attempting to explain the HERC chemistry and processes as best as I can with what knowledge I have.

I also am a NACE member and work in the protective coatings industry, primarily surface preparation. I am also a Cert. Level III Coatings Inspector, for what that's worth. <s>
