I've been lurking here reading the comments about your statements and IMHO I don't get the flap either. I believe the intent of your perspective was simply a wider scope and certainly not contrary to DCI's primary goal.

There are many colors within the spectrum to be considered and I feel you were just getting a bit more definitive about the variation in hues. A family can have a loyal and strongly united front in their vision, yet still have varied views. I see this as healthy. So there!
