Bob: My 280ZX has rust near the rocker panels on both sides. So, this morning I decided to search on the repair work for the body. It's unibody and it has been in the North for all of its life. However, it has been in a garage too. I was just looking for a painter/body repairer on a 280ZX where I am at. This morning the guy from Virginia, who is doing the work on my datsun told me he recently hired a "body man" to do body work on datsuns. Problem solved. I'm going to e-mail him back with the go-ahead. If a person, with no car repair experience, wants to restore a car he loves, the first thing he needs to do is check his wallet. It isn't cheap. Anyone, would think I am crazy but that car saved my life. Next, find someone that restores the same make of car as a business and is known for his work. Someone that starts with a rebuild attitude and then buy new, if necessary. It took me years to find my guy. Regular hours is scheduled to open in a few minutes.
