Nokia licenses Spyglass for set-top box
HELSINKI, Feb 17 (Reuters) - Finnish telecoms equipment maker Nokia said on Tuesday it had sealed a deal with U.S. Internet products maker Spyglass(SPYG - news) to license Spyglass's software for Nokia's television set-top boxes.
Spyglass's technology would be integrated with Nokia's next generation of digital cable, satellite and terrestrial set-top boxes, Nokia said.

Nokia did not give a value for the deal.

It said that inclusions of Spyglass's technology would facilitate interactive television services such as Internet access, electronic mail, interactive advertising, home shopping, video on demand and pay-per-view.
