Any kid who took a high school class in physics could easily answer that question.

Since you're so smart please submit an energy balance comparing a heat pump to burning natural gas. You're making an idiot of yourself. A heat pump is just running an AC unit (Inefficient in either direction) in reverse. Straight up electric heating is probably more efficient. The electricity would need to be nearly free to make the math work. I suppose in your case it is really cheap but not the majority of the world.

My degree is in Chemical Engineering. I did take physics and didn't much like it and that's why ChE. We do know a lot about thermodynamics of systems.
