Paris: Muslim with knife and hammer, on terror list, screams ‘Allahu akbar,’ murders one person, injures two others

The usual wagons are already circling: the perpetrator, like so very many other jihadis in countries that refuse to recognize the reality of jihad, “is also known to suffer from psychiatric disorders.”

A drama in the streets of Paris. A knife and hammer attack, in the Quai de Grenelle area, in the 15th arrondissement, left one dead and two injured this Saturday evening. The alleged perpetrator of the tragedy was arrested. He allegedly shouted “Allah Akbar” after the attack, a police source told AFP and Le Parisien.
“The police have just courageously arrested an attacker attacking passers-by in Paris, around the Quai de Grenelle. One deceased person and one injured person treated by the Paris Fire Brigade. Please avoid the area,” Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin initially indicated on X.
One of the victims of the attack, a tourist with dual German and Filipino nationality, was found in cardiorespiratory arrest on the Bir-Hakeim bridge, between the 15th and 16th arrondissements of Paris, shortly before 10 p.m., indicates a source police officer at Le Parisien. The man died from a knife wound to his back and shoulder.
At Avenue du President Kennedy, a second victim was injured with a hammer. This English tourist was found with a wound on his head and was treated by firefighters. According to a police source, this man was walking with his wife and child when the attacker came up behind him and struck him. A second person was also injured in the attack. His condition remains to be clarified.
The alleged perpetrator of the attack was arrested by the police, indicates Gérald Darmanin. During his arrest, he threatened the police with a hammer, shouting “Allah Akbar”, a police source told Le Parisien. The agents then used an electric pulse gun twice to immobilize the assailant, arrested at Avenue du Parc de Passy.
According to our information, the individual, Armand R., born in France and of French nationality, was on S file for radical Islamism, and would have indicated to the police that he could not support “that Arabs were killed in the world” and wanted to die as a martyr. The man, born in 1997 and of Iranian origin, is known to the courts, and is also known to suffer from psychiatric disorders…. |
