I would extend your "points" even further, directly to the posts from the poster to whom you are replying...where they almost always read like a vague version (or not so vague) of a dog whistle.

Choose a subject likely to cause a response, then add some points that drift right along-- yet in-and-out --of the "main stream" to ensure you've struck a nerve, to the point he/she gets another response.

Frame it with "know-it-all" wording and bang. The mark is struck....

Totally formulaic...but boring.
