Search is still 99 % of GOOG's profits (right?). I think search is one of the many revenue streams for ads. Google places lots of ads on it's search engine. But Google also places loads of ads all over other's web sites all over the internet Granted, most Google searches are very simple. Yup. I can't claim any in depth knowledge of Google ad business, or of ChatGPT's market share increase in terms of search, so I don't have any advanced opinion. But Google has loads of smart people watching the stuff that you're watching, and I'd be surprised if the internet ad industry is just leaving Google in the dust as it migrates somewhere new.
