Some are free, but they're mostly L2 chargers and would take hours to charge up a TM3. I don't use them a lot. I mostly charge over night at home and that energy comes from the Solar Panels on my home. BTW, the utility company credits me for any solar power I don't use in the day time. The credits pay for the overnight charging. If you use a Tesla Supercharger, you're paying through the nose @ ~0.42 per kWh
