Happy Anniversary !!! Four years ago, Dec 9, 2019, several Salt Lake City area newspapers reported that Matthew Gregory Shepard (Greg Shepard's son) was charged with ... "criminal solicitation, a first-degree felony; five counts of enticing a minor, a second-degree felony; and sexual exploitation of a minor, a third-degree felony". deseret.com The following arrest info was copy/pasted from the court record: Agency Case Number: 19023412 Arrest Date: November 13, 2019 Violation Date: 10-30-2019 He posted $500,000 bail on 12/11/2019. After several delays and re-scheduling, his plea agreement was accepted and he was finally sentenced to prison on 5/16/2022. The following arrest info was copy/pasted from the court record: Based on the defendant's conviction of ENTICE A MINOR BY INTERNET OR TEXT a 2nd Degree Felony, the defendant is sentenced to an indeterminate term of not less than one year nor more than fifteen years in the Utah State Prison. COMMITMENT is to begin immediately. The court will accept payment tendered on the date of sentencing for any amount the defendant owes arising from this order. The court hereby transfers responsibility for collection of any remaining balance of the criminal accounts receivable to the Office of State Debt Collection. To the SALT LAKE County Sheriff: The defendant is remanded to your custody for transportation to the Utah State Prison where the defendant will be confined. Matt's birth month is November.
