I think that now is the time to get into semis for a trading profit. They're all starting to move back up. There appears to be a lot of resistance at the previous lows reached a month ago. The SOX should rebound to atleast 190-200 within 5-7 trading sessions. Jim, your financial summary of these four companies says it all. However, I don't see these companies going anywhere near their Autumn 95 highs anytime soon. The street appears to be concerned about 'fundamental' changes in the industry. This will always be the case until the excess inventories of chips are depleted. I know one thing is for sure: Now is the time upgrade to 16 :) Megs of RAM, 256K of SRAM etc.. I don't want to be buying memory when prices start bouncing back up in 6 months. Take MU and DRAM for instance : shouldn't demand for this memory increase like crazy if oracle's internet box idea catches on? The system will cost $500 and all it'll have is DRAM. Also check out AAPL. It is a steal at 25. It should bounce back up to 32 atleast, provided that they hype up their own version of the internet box, Pippin. Unfortunately it's shootign itself in the foot by marketing it as a gamesystem. However that could change, and the hype should drive the price up. Just my two cents worth..
