Re: Young Folk Portfolio ... TRADE ALERT

Today I sold the APD position in the Roth IRA. I took a very small loss of 0.42%. This sale generated more than $8K in cash which I added to other positions.

I have been wanting to lower the number of holdings down below 25 and with this sale, I now have 25 holdings in this portfolio. I will be selling two more in January.

The top 3 holdings in the Roth, based on total return are LLY, COST and DHI. I added $1K to each of them, executing what I call "build on strength".

I then added variable amounts to the smaller positions bringing them up in size with the other holdings. I added to:

CAT .. PH .. SHW .. SPGI and then added to SMH, making it the second largest position in the portfolio, just behind SPY.

Here is what the Roth looks like now:

SPY ..... $26,644 ... +4.28%
SMH .... $25,944 ... +27.72%
DHI ...... $14,045 ... +42.98%
COST .. $12,844 ... +68.10%
LLY ...... $11,815 ... +77.88%
SHW ... $10,528 ... +13.09%
SPGI ... $10,525 ... +11.73%
PH ....... $10,516 ... +32.80%
CAT ..... $10,384 ... +44.65%
CTAS .. $10,326 .... +31.90%

Tomorrow the mid-month deposit will hit the account and it will be added to CTAS and CAT, bringing them up in size to the those just above them.
