Trump's attorneys are basically admitting he's guilty in their latest court filing by saying to try, convict and sentence him before the election is a blatant attempt to interfere with the election and would disenfranchise tens of millions of voters.

-They don't say he could be found not guilty.

-They don't say the trial will be over well before the election.

-They don't say voting for a criminal/traitor would also disenfranchise tens of millions of voters.

-They falsely say Trump having voters can wipe away his crimes.

Trump's filing is a blatant admission that their strategy is only to stall. Trump and his attorneys are desperately clinging to a stall strategy that has failed.

@BarbBanfieldRN

“Disenfranchise” means to deprive someone of their VOTE - not deprive them of their preferred candidate. Many of us vote all the time for people who are not our first choice (they lost or dropped out of the primary). Getting locked up for crimes is HIS FAULT, he committed them!

@sweeper1966

Ok...let's go with their argument. A serial killer is caught and indicted and trial is scheduled. So he files to run for some public office and argues trial should be delayed bc it might disenfranchise voters? It's an absurd argument.
