If you had a button that gave you $1,000,000 every time you press it, but every time you press it a random person starts trading natural gas futures, would you press it? And if so, how many times would you press it?

Admittedly this joke only appeals to a narrow segment; one has to be both an energy trader and a Twilightzone fan to get it.

NG chart is a lot worse when you realize there's > 5x leverage in the contract. So that 40% drop in the month has cost the traders 200% of their capital.
