If there is a recognized land registry, where is it? If there was a recognized land registry (but it no longer exists), where did it go? If there is not a recognized land registry, then how do you prove that any individual owned any land in the Levant prior to 1948?

I'm interested to learn. Do you have any answers?

How did someone prove land ownership in say.....1890, in the Levant?
