You are wrong with the ideas on "profit".

Capitalism works best (and I speak from experience) when the primary aim of a company is not Profit. The purpose of a company, any company is not "to enhance shareholder value".

Besides which "profits" have not been the problem to date. It's outright corruption, and there has been plenty of that.

Here is an example of out of control corruption. This sort of thing will destroy humanity if not stopped.
