You are wrong with the ideas on "profit". Capitalism works best (and I speak from experience) when the primary aim of a company is not Profit. The purpose of a company, any company is not "to enhance shareholder value". Besides which "profits" have not been the problem to date. It's outright corruption, and there has been plenty of that.
