Did it ever occur to you that some might be afraid to file a return to get back their withholding? Of course not.
Given that most of them are having taxes withheld under fake Social Security numbers, I'm not going to shed a tear for them.
So clearly, not all are dodging taxes.
They obviously can't dodge sales or property taxes, which makes up a large portion of the taxes that "undocumented" immigrants pay.

As for the few that actually file federal taxes, they're doing it hoping that one day, "immigration reform" will look kindly upon their filings, which will help them onto the fast-track toward permanent residency.

That was the promise of the "Gang of Eight." Reports were that they would grant green cards to "undocumented" immigrants who filed federal taxes. To this day, many "undocumented" immigrants still do this in hopes that they will increase their chances.

Either way, leftists LOVE to push the myth that most "undocumented" immigrants "pay their fair share" of taxes. The reality is that most are paid under the table and therefore don't report their incomes to the IRS. It's not in their best interest too, nor is it in the IRS' interest to go after them.

It's funny because all of the labor-killing regulations that leftists LOVE to push, such as minimum wage and universal health care mandates, encourages employers to break the rules and hire "undocumented" workers.
