This is the headline article. I believe they mentioned that Isolyser's dissolution process did not comply and would not be acceptable until proven to EPA. I cannot locate the full article anymore either. - EPA Issues Warning to Manufacturers and Distributors of Pesticides Used as Alternate Medical Waste Treatment Technologies: It's not enough to have state approval as an alternate medical waste treatment unless manufacturers can also show, through efficacy studies, the ability to render the waste non-infectious according to the United States Environmental Protection Agency. - Feb 11 4:18 PM EST
