<<ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 16, 1998--Ever want to be on the same wavelength with company insiders buying and selling stock? If so, then let insider trading expert Gary Kaltbaum show you how insider trading knowledge can benefit individual investors at two Informed Investors Forums Saturday and Sunday, March 7-8 in Orlando and Boca Raton, Fla., respectively.

Kaltbaum, a technical analyst with J.W. Charles Securities, will share his findings how closely following public company insider trading can be profitable to individuals in keynote addresses Saturday morning, March 7 at the Orlando Marriott International and Sunday, March 8 at the Boca Raton Marriott.

The Forums also feature analyst-style presentations from top management of several Florida-based public companies. Both Forums run from 8 a.m. until noon.

Companies presenting at Orlando are Sawtek (NASDAQ:SAWS), Viragen (NASDAQ:VRGN) and La-Man Corp. (NASDAQ:LAMN). Presenting companies at Boca Raton are Viragen, Knight-Ridder, Inc. (NYSE:KRI) and Watsco, Inc. (NYSE:WSO). Additional companies will be added to the programs.

Cost of the Forums is $15 pre-paid and $20 at the door. For registration, call Informed Investors at 800/992-4683. Audio tapes of each complete Forum are available for $25 plus $2.95 S/H per Forum. For more information, visit www.informedinvestors.com.

"The actions of insiders may be the best single predictor of future events of the company," said Kaltbaum, who has studied 30 years of insider trading records. "We'll illustrate with actual case studies, using graphs and insider trading reports, how individual investors can do this themselves and the tools they can use."

Examples cited by Kaltbaum include trading by nine insiders at Compusa, Inc. (NYSE:CPU) three years ago which gave definite clues about the direction of the company. Other case studies to be shared by Kaltbaum involve corporate insider trading at Apple Computer (NASDAQ:APPL), Informix (NASDAQ:IFMX), Gucci Group (NYSE:GUC) and others.

"When a number of corporate officers are involved in such activities, something is about to happen, Kaltbaum said. "It may be imminent, or it may be weeks, months or more away. But the statistics show that they are correct an extraordinary percentage of the time."

He said people running a company are in the best position to know its fortunes and outlook. "When the people who know the company best buy the stock, maybe (investors) should too," Kaltbaum said.>>
