Batteries are the future.... but got long ways to go to get costs way down and refine from charging to maintenance... LOL, where have you been the last twenty years? Storage is cheap and getting cheaper every day. I've been engineering PV and battery storage systems (grid tied and off grid) for over thirty years and it's cheaper to do that in a sunny area than just buying coal for a legacy coal fired plant.
