I would say that what matters far more is HOW MUCH of that Sales Revenue reaches the Bottom Line of the Income Statement ...... It's that Bottom Line that provides for that Dividend, and it's that Bottom Line that enhances the Balance Sheet through the number it adds to "Retained Income", bearing in mind the Balance Sheet equation of :-

Share Capital + Retained Income = Total Assets - Total Liabilities.

The more that Retained Income goes up, the more that Total Assets increase relative to Total Liabilities.
