Brexit has completely failed for UK, say clear majority of Britons – poll
Only one in 10 feel leaving the EU has helped their finances, while just 9% say it has benefited the NHS

Brexit wasn't an economic thing. It was more a cultural preservation thing. The UK isn't an "immigrant nation" like the USA or Australia. The uncontrolled immigration of the Shengen system was changing the UK in a way that the pro-Brexit voters didn't like, and the Brexit vote was an effort to halt that change. Not much to do with economics - it was more about culture.

It was obvious that reducing the cheap labor supply and reducing tariff-free trade would be bad for the economy. Anyone who voted for Brexit and expected it to strengthen the economy was an idiot.
