Since we're doing this and since I want to be transparent, I finished my first full year down 25%.
The math is brutal on declines in your portfolio. If you find yourself down 25%, you need to double from there to get back to your 50% return. It’s almost impossible to make up misses.

Also, when you go for that high of a return, you are bound to make some terrible mistakes because it’s impossible to make this sort of return using stocks that aren’t risky. The my knowledge , there are no investors that have achieved this type of return with any reasonable amount of money for extended periods of times.a if they would , they would be billionaires within 15 years or so. I think it’s only possible if you run your own business and sort of make a concentrated bet on it.
