The latest season of Shetland draws to a close tonight. I liked the new DI and the plot line; it should work well going forward. Finally saw "Barbie" and thought it was pretty clever. I doubt other toys can ride the bandwagon without the whole gender exploration backdrop, but you know they will try. This morning, my high school students were buzzing about 2024 movie releases; everything they mentioned was a superhero or animation sequel. Blech. Copy, copy, copy some more. Started "New Blood" on Britbox, two episodes in with a good plot and two ambitious young leads (one constable, one fraud investigator) who come together as reluctant allies. Also into season two of "Hidden Assets" on Acorn. You will want to see season one first to make sense of the ongoing plot.
