Hi RDK, Lithium wont be a problem when solid state batteries come into use. Manufacturers will build out lithium-ion battery production by the end of 2027. That is the real reason why Ford has shut down further work on their plants in KY and MI. GM is in a pickle because their Ultium battery facilities are nearly on line. The payback period is estimated to be about 7 years for faculties and production equipment. They cant switch to SS quickly. Need to payoff L-Ion infrastructure.
