This is very true. I have a dedicated home office the size of a small studio, complete with separate entrance and washroom. I have multiple overpriced ergo chairs, desks, wall to wall board, etc etc. No work office can match my home office. And yet I much prefer to be working away from home, at least for a few days a week, than from home.

Unfortunately when I did that, it was terrible b/c the work office was 60% empty and I didn't get to mingle with colleagues which was the whole point of going there. I was still working remotely from my team, it's just that my physical location had changed.

I think teams should be together at least twice a week. A different team can occupy the office in other weeks.
