There is no change in the results for the final standings, but my full sanity checks of the spread sheet values did catch something. It seems that effective the very last day of trading there had been a 1 for 240 (not a misprint) reverse split for AVTX that I had completely missed, which gave the erroneous results that AVTX was number one for the week, and its single holder the top portfolio for the week. I have corrected that now, so the tops for the week were JSPR and BLADERUNNER. Correctly figured, AVTX dropped from $13.40/share to $9.10/share rather than the stupendous rise from $0.056 to $9.10 that the uncorrected for the split numbers gave for the week. This also means that AVTX ended the worst stock for the year at -99.2%, returning less than a penny on the dollar.

At this point I want to say it’s been an interesting and educational year. I hope that everyone has enjoyed the contest and that my commentary and reports have provided some value to the game (and that my overly pedantic presentation hasn’t been too off putting).

So here is the corrected report. Some further commentary: ERIKOTTO owes the solidity of their first place finish (+$40k) to holding TWO top five stocks, INZY and CABA. But ALONER (2nd place) and STEVE LOKNESS (3rd) managed a strong +$21k return without picking dany of the super high fliers. RKRW in fourth, not too far behind at +$19k, did pick 3rd place for the year MOR that allowed them to shake off the loss from their pick of TCON.

There is also some details of the contest status after the regular report.

The individual portfolios (ordered alphabetically) are summarized here. All prices are in converted US dollars. The Final Investment and Final # of shares is different from the initial for three portfolios because they had included a stock that was acquired during the contest and had the cash reinvested in the remainder of their selections. The Total Return of Capital for the acquired stocks, is the cash value of the acquisition.

Because there were four acquisitions during the year, three contestants reinvested their cash returned in their remaining selections. Thus their final investment and the final number of shares is different than the initial values.
