How many class 8 semis are at gross weight going down the road percentage wise? Tesla is already proving diesels make no sense today. (and I've worked on a lot of diesels in my lifetime) 10 Hp thru 1,500 Hp Thermodynamic efficiency tops 50% at best. (Ahhh, the limitations of heat engines: Heat engine en.wikipedia.org EM drives around 90%. Plus electrons are cheaper than Number 2 fuel oil. And getting cheaper with renewables! Not to mention vastly cleaner and sustainable. Do you seriously think we will be using diesel engines a hundred years from now?
