re: ROA & ROE

I know Paul Senior often references ROE & ROA. I tend to scan these as they appear on most/all of my financial data feeds. Like I mentioned earlier, I look (and focus) on FCF. That's to me is the life blood of a company.

If a management reorg or long term turn around, then over time I will look at other metrics to see if they are improving. This is on a position I plan to hold 18 months (or longer) so will review the quarterly data. It's take time for a company to change their metrics, so you must be patient.

Good discussion & I learned new things to consider especially when evaluating management's efficiency.
