For anything less than 300 miles at gross it's totally viable. Now I'd love to get ahold of the data recorded on the truck run to San Diego. There is Tons of info recorded in my Model S. I can read it and dump it into my laptop with some software. About sixty five channels of info. We need those logs and that would answer a lot of questions in minute detail. Only one motor is pushing the rig down the road on level ground or low grade hills. And that motor is optimized for 65 mph (windings and gearing). The other two are not mechanically engaged unless you require more than about 200 HP.
