Most of my positions have been held for 3-6 months and I have a number of positions that I have held over a year. I am NOT a short term or day trader unless I see an intermediate trend being broken. I tend to hold short positions for a shorter duration. The big money is made by holding, not by clipping a few points here and there. I have no issues holding and withstanding the volatility. Once in a while when a stock makes some outsized gains early on and becomes very overbought, I will sell and buy back at support. I did this with PAAS yesterday, went long again.
