We haven't seen empty shelves, but I don't live in an area where there are millions of people. People who live in the cities have to be more competitive if they want to feed themselves. I think if the WEF has its way, Europeans will be the first to suffer malnutrition and even starvation, although local farms will be the salvation for many. And as competition increases, everyone is going to have to get used to higher prices. People will give up a lot, and many people will end up sacrificing other things to get enough food. Crime will spiral out of control, many will resort to stealing, many will rob people to get the money to feed themselves and their families.
I saw some of that fake meat at the grocery store today. (Don't ask me to eat it...bleck.) There were about 10 packages of it sitting there, all surrounded by a lot of real meat. We even found grass fed, grass finished beef...steak, roasts and ground beef...at, of all places, Walmart.
The buyers who get this kind of product on store shelves know the trends, and we're happy there are ranchers out there willing to go in that direction. I'm on the West Coast, and this particular product was from Arkansas. Not cheap, but we look at it this way... buying healthy foods...organic produce, grass fed, grass finished beef, Omega3 eggs, wild seafood, gluten-free baked goods, hormone and anti-biotic pork and chicken,..is an investment in our health, and we're more than willing to pay the price. We also buy as much non-processed food as we can...the stuff is just junk.
It's extremely sad and disheartening to see the amount of obesity we see in cities. Cheap food is full of grain fillers and sugars that are found in highly processed foods, and they are the culprit for this epidemic. If Gates and his buddies curtail the production of grains...mankind really is doomed, but OTOH...he'd be a hero if he dedicated his energies into planting healthy, organic crops on all that land he's hoarding.
Best we prepare our families and future generations for this possible outcome. If they're informed, and we're frugal, they'll survive. Hopefully this madness is defeated, and our farmers can go on doing what they do best...feeding the world without interference in the many amazing ways they have done for centuries. |
