The first ETF attempts started a decade ago. Preparations have been ongoing for years. The SEC was dragging its feet. That said - why ETF? Why not get the real thing? ETFs spell rehypothecation all over again, like in the precious metal market. There's one real ounce of gold for - how many? - twenty paper ounces? If you have control over your private key for your Bitcoin wallet you know that you own your Bitcoin.
